Thrift Shop
The Thrift Shop is a central outreach ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church. It is a community service venture that provides clothing and household goods at a very low cost to consumers in the Powell area. The shop also presents the opportunity for our community to donate goods for resale which might otherwise become part of the landfill.
Our mission is to be an outward reaching ministry and to uphold our baptismal promises to respond to human need through loving service, by sharing our resources, by helping to safeguard the integrity of God’s creation and by addressing the needs of our local community.
All proceeds from the sale of donated items, excepting building maintenance, taxes, supplies and advertising, are dedicated to supporting agencies in our area and other outreach ministries at St. John’s. All sales, maintenance and cleaning staff are drawn from a small but dedicated volunteer group.
