About the event
Nico Lang, a longtime LGBTQ+ journalist, as well as the author of the award-winning national bestseller, American Teenager, which documents the lives of trans kids and their loved ones in seven different states. His goal was to speak back to extreme anti-trans rhetoric about youth by showing trans young people as they actually are: powerfully human. For the past 22 months, he has been traveling the country on a historic 50-state tour to bring their voices and stories to as many communities as possible, and as part of that work, he'll be in Wyoming this weekend — on Sunday, August 16 — for a reading/Q&A at St. John’s Church in Powell (308 Mountain View.), in partnership with Wyoming Rising. The event should start around 2:00pm.
